You will be part of our Autonomy team integrating all aspects of our Autonomous Maritime products ready for deployment to counter emerging threats and gain an advantage in the future maritime battlespace. What you'll be doing:
- Undertake engineering activities to integrate and test maritime autonomous systems and payloads into surface and sub-surface maritime platforms.
- Be a senior member of the autonomy trials team and undertake trials for surface and sub-surface autonomous vessels.
- Undertake system test planning, execution and reporting.
- Work independently undertaking design and integration activities with minimal oversight.
- Learn and work with new and emerging technologies, especially in the field of autonomous systems.
- Contribute to definition of acceptance strategies verifying compliance at various levels of system design, supporting production of customer acceptance evidence.
Your skills and experiences:
- Understands engineering principles and approaches underpinning the integration of hardware & software systems for real world operation.
- Be capable of systems thinking, applying holistic solutions to complex & unforeseen problems.
- Good understanding of networking including RouteOS, Juniper and Cisco.
- Good understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) with familiarity of codeSys, Modbus or similar.
- A basic understanding of software design and implementation concepts.
- Requirements management using an appropriate toolset such as IBM DOORS Next and configuration management with tools like Teamcenter, SAP.
- Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.
- Hold an Eng-1 medical or able to gain one.
