Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to support students aged 3 to 19 years with a range of special educational needs, including MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Job Requirements:
- A valid Child or Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
- A recognised Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a school or similar SEN setting
- Experience working with children or young people with complex SEN needs
- Ability to differentiate teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning styles
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff
Your Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons that engage and challenge students with MLD, SLD, and PMLD. You will work closely with the SENCO and support staff to implement personalised learning plans, ensuring that each student's individual needs are met. You will provide guidance in both academic and life skills, fostering independence and social integration.
