Salary: £47,683+ (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Review supplier Data Requirement Lists (DRLs)
- Support the resolution of CEH related problems
- Review CEH declarations and evidence in clearance documentation
- Generate CEH Summary Reports for each formal Radar Software release
- Support Certification Authority led CEH Stage of Involvement (SoI) audits at supplier premises at European supplier/sites
Your skills and experiences:
- A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience (preferably with electronics development focus)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Knowledge/experience of safety engineering, ideally within an aviation context is required
- Experience/knowledge of radar systems is desirable

The Radar EDR team:
This is an exciting role for a Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) Certification Engineer working within the E-Scan Radar Equipment Design Responsibility (EDR) team on Eurofighter Typhoon in support of the CEH development effort on the E-Scan Radar programme. This role sits within the EDR team based at Warton working closely with the Radar Equipment Supplier (EuroRadar, Leonardo-UK, Hensoldt, Leonardo-IT and Indra), Eurofighter GmbH and other System Design Responsibility (SDR) engineering disciplines in delivering the various E-Scan Radar programmes to time, cost and without compromise to safety or quality. You will work as part of a small team managing all Radar CEH activities. This exciting role requires a wide range of engineering skills, teamwork and product focus to ensure a varied and complex set of requirements are delivered. You will have a systems engineering background, knowledge of the radar system and development of CEH to the requirements of RTCA DO-254 is desired, however training will be provided. This role requires strong written, visual and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage a continually evolving workload. Due to the nature of working with the Radar Supplier, you will be required to travel within the UK and mainland Europe on a regular basis.
