We’re looking for dedicated Pet Claims Assessors to join our growing team at our Lakeside office in Portsmouth and make a real difference in the world of Pet Insurance.

The Role:

As a Pet Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and validating pet insurance claims efficiently and accurately. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing of claims, while working towards meeting productivity targets and KPIs that are essential to our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming forms and ensure claims are settled within the agreed SLAs.
  • Assess new and ongoing claim submissions by reviewing all claim documentation provided.
  • Gather and verify information from customers and veterinary practices to accurately assess claims.
  • Ensure valid claims are paid promptly and any anomalies are queried or declined as necessary.
  • Identify potentially fraudulent claims and follow the agreed process for referral.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through timely and accurate claim processing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues, promoting professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical aspects, product offerings, and systems to effectively explain policy coverage to customers.

Essential Skills:

  • Must have veterinary nurse experience or prior pet claims assessing experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid data entry and IT skills.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to take on new tasks.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in pet claims assessing.
