About the Role
As our Conference Manager, you will be the main point of contact for clients, overseeing the planning and execution of a variety of events. From large-scale conferences to exclusive networking sessions, you will ensure seamless delivery while managing budgets, coordinating suppliers, and liaising with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring they run smoothly and on budget.
- Liaising with clients to understand their event objectives and creating detailed project plans.
- Managing event budgets with support from our finance team.
- Collaborating with programme committees to develop conference content and oversee abstract submissions.
- Coordinating VIPs, speakers, and chairpersons.
- Sourcing and contracting venues, hotels, and suppliers.
- Overseeing branding, marketing, and sponsorship activities to promote events effectively.
- Managing exhibition spaces, AV production, and onsite logistics.
- Leading a small team, including a Conference Administrator and temporary event staff.
- Conducting post-event analysis and reporting to measure success.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Events Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Leisure & Tourism Management or relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in event management.
- Strong time management and delegation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- A customer-focused and commercially aware mindset.
- Creative problem-solving skills to distinguish events from the competition.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management for events.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and ensure smooth event execution.
