Reports to: Operations Director & Finance Director
Location: Eastbourne – Central Eastbourne
Hours: 20-24 hours per week (spread over at least 3 days, with flexibility for additional hours as required)

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance/Accounts Manager to oversee key financial functions and ensure the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role involves managing financial reporting, statutory compliance, and payroll administration while providing valuable insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee financial accounting activities, statutory accounts, and liaise with external accountants.
Prepare monthly management accounts and reports, including trial balance, project profitability, and business performance insights.
Manage statutory reporting, including VAT returns, PAYE, and other tax obligations.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning to enhance financial stability.
Implement and improve financial controls and governance to drive efficiency and compliance.
Analyse financial data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
Work alongside the Operations Director to administer payroll, pensions, and employee benefits.
Handle initial data entry of income and costs into the Xero accounting system.
Perform other finance-related duties as required to support the business. Skills & Experience Required

Relevant qualifications such as AAT (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in financial reporting and business support roles.
Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration (advantageous).
Strong analytical skills, with a meticulous and professional approach.
Ability to work independently, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
