A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for an SAP Technical Analyst within the SAP Materials Management and Logistics Execution areas with exposure to Plant Maintenance and/or Production Planning and Sales and Distribution (SD) areas. 3-month contract to start ASAP, Hybrid (remote/Milton Keynes/Hatfield), Outside IR35.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a service and maintenance-orientated environment and be technically proficient in the related areas of SAP.
Role and Responsibilities- Act as a core member of an agile, dynamic, focused team driven by business change and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal IS staff, business programme managers, and third-party suppliers and partners.
- Provide the interface between business stakeholders and IS development teams, to elicit, challenge, prioritise and document requirements.
- Ensure that systems development is consistent with the defined specifications and that cross-platform requirements deliverables are aligned effectively, to ensure smooth interaction between systems.
- Understanding of service and maintenance contract management, ideally in the Information Technology business.
- Strong technical experience of E2E Materials Management, Sales, and Logistics Execution processes in SAP (Mandatory knowledge of ECC6).
- Integration experience in cross-platform development projects.
- Experience of implementing solutions in the areas of Logistics, Sales, Plant maintenance, or Production.
- Exposure to Plant Maintenance and/or Production Planning and the supporting logistics processes.
- Strong experience in Warehouse Management.
- Thorough technical understanding of systems integration, ideally using SAP PI and Proxy Classes.
- Solid technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret & present data clearly.
- Ability to be hands-on, self-motivated, and have a can-do attitude.
- Ability to collaborate and work with other team members and cross-functional areas of the business.
- Strong personal ownership and highly delivery-focused.
- Strong communicator verbally and in writing, with keen listening skills.
- Well-organised, self-disciplined, and motivated.
