Contract Type: Fixed Term/ Internal secondment opportunity until 31 March 2026
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 8.30-4.50pm. Must be flexible and be prepared to work outside normal office hours to support the needs of the service.
Worker Type: Offsite worker; you will be required to work across our Nottingham City Housing office sites, at NCC Joint Service Centres around the city and visit vulnerable tenants in their home as required.
Salary: Grade E - Starting Salary is £27,711 (Level one) rising to £30,060 (Level four)

About the Role: As a Mutual Exchange Officer you will work within the Housing Options team to deliver a coordinated, customer focussed and effectively managed mutual exchange service to Nottingham City Council Housing Services (NCCHS) tenants.
About You: The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be able to prepare comprehensive written reports, spreadsheets and presentations as requested.
- Must be flexible and be prepared to work outside normal office hours, on occasion, and at various locations according to the needs of the service. May include visiting tenants in their homes.
- A working knowledge and awareness and understanding of current housing issues and legislation, in particular in relation to Allocations and Mutual Exchanges and Welfare Reforms.
- Experience of working within a team and of proactively working towards joint targets.
- Experience of working within a housing management environment and an ability to learn.
- Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to a range of customers, and the ability to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
