The predicted salary is between 46200 - 63800 £ per year.

With regular travel to client sites (occasional overnight required). Circa £55k. The purpose of this role is to lead and grow a start to finish service for the passive fire division to achieve company goals. This includes management of staff within the division. Key purpose is to develop and consolidate client base. Responsible for ensuring all tenders are accurately compiled and presented, costs plans formed and returned in time with specification. Where contracts are subsequently awarded, responsible for ensuring team deliver project, from procurement to billing, on time and within budget.

Main Duties:

  • Build a divisional team to support the process from enquiry to hand over.
  • Establish a team to manage all areas of passive fire control that include supply and installation of:
  • M&E penetration seals
  • Fire barriers / curtains / control zones
  • Structural steel protection boarded and intumescent
  • Fire Doors & Shutters
  • Manage our LPCB accreditation & attain new accreditations relevant for activities ie: FIRAS 7 ASFP.
  • Design and implement a strategic plan that expands our current offer to our customer base to incorporate an additional presence in the passive fire sector.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Cross check all tenders prior to submission to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Verify material lists & schedules from CAD or PDF drawings prior to procurement.
  • Support Passive Fire division with delivery of projects.
  • Manage sales, revenue and project cost & progress reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Accountable for ensuring staff under your control always work in compliance to all company Policies & Procedures, including Health & Safety and in line with site specific RAMS.
  • Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Recommend cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality.
  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans.
  • Provide guidance to team members and monitor their performance, discipline, and attendance on a regular basis.
  • Update skills and knowledge necessary to effectively carry out role as required by the company.
  • Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation promotion, retention and termination activities.
  • Experience:

    • Industry experienced project manager for passive fire protection.
    • Experience in design, installation, checking and product selection.
    • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Sound commercial understanding of project pricing and delivery.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of construction phase project delivery.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to multitask and be pro-active.
    • Good planning and organisational skills.
    • Aware of Health & Safety legislation.
    • Competent IT skills in Auto CAD, Word, Excel and Outlook.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid UK Clean Driving Licence.
    • GCSE Maths & English.
    • Contract Managerial background.
    • Fire Engineering background - desirable.
    • Construction skills certification scheme card - Black.
    • MEWP licence - desirable.
    • SMSTS - desirable.
