We are looking for a Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Infrastructure team on the A428 project. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality advice, guidance and coaching to senior management within the Project in order to achieve the goal of zero accidents.
What you'll do:
- Ensuring compliance with and reporting on performance of the Company HSMS and statutory provisions
- Assist the Project teams with the production, review and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan
- Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties
- Communicate effectively (Accurate, Relevant and Timely) with their line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents
- Conduct accident and incident investigations identifying root cause and contributory factors
- Ensuring close out of all remedial actions in relation to accidents and incidents
- Ensuring incidents are reported onto relevant data base systems including any client designated system
- Co-ordinate the auditing of projects under their responsibility and others as directed
- Auditing of trade contractors, designers, suppliers and coordinating with the Procurement Team
What you'll bring to the role:
- Previous experience at a senior safety level in delivery of a relevant construction project e.g. large infrastructure
- Health & Safety NEBOSH General Certificate or above
- Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH
- Experience of working with Highways England as a client
