Role Purpose

As part of the Jungle Media team, you’ll play a key role in managing and growing some of our Facebook pages. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong editorial judgment and a love for social-first video. You’ll be responsible for selecting and curating video content, managing publishing schedules, giving editorial feedback to video editors, and working closely with social editors and content creators to ensure content is optimised for performance. Your success will be measured by video views, watch time, and audience engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities OR What you will be doing as a Social Editor

  • Manage day-to-day output across key Facebook pages within the Jungle Creations portfolio
  • Select and brief video content for publishing based on data, performance, and trends
  • Provide editorial feedback to video editors to enhance content quality and audience relevance
  • Collaborate with social editors and content creators to ensure content is aligned with brand tone and platform best practices
  • Plan and maintain a consistent publishing schedule using Meta Business Suite and other scheduling tools
  • Monitor and optimise video performance, using insights to inform future content decisions
  • Stay up to date with platform changes, algorithm updates, and cultural trends
  • Track KPIs such as views, retention, watch time, and engagement, and report regularly
  • Support and communicate clearly with the wider editorial, video, and strategy teams
  • Maintain strong content hygiene and brand safety standards

Background and Experience OR what you’ll bring to Jungle

  • Solid understanding of all major social platforms, with a strong focus on Facebook
  • Demonstrated ability to identify viral potential in user-generated content
  • Experience managing content permissions and familiarity with copyright regulations
  • Proven ability to adapt to different brand voices and audience interests
  • Comfortable working across multiple brands, projects, and deadlines
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite and its monetisation policies
  • Clear, confident communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of Trello is a bonus
