As our next Mechanical Fitter you will gain exposure to a variety of “blue chip” companies gaining a wealth of knowledge to take your skills to the next level. You will be working within Z-Techs Energy Business Unit carrying out essential maintenance on mechanical systems in the power generation sector. As part of this role you will be supporting several of Z-Techs clients within the midlands delivering high quality workmanship on turbine systems carrying out inter-fitting of components for turbine assembly.

What does a day look like:

  • Assist site teams with inter-fitting of turbine components
  • Refer to engineering drawings to ensure correct fitting technique and assembly build is achieved.
  • Use of hand tools, pneumatic power tools and deburring machinery to achieve a high quality component finish
  • Carry out quality inspection and principle gauging to ensure component specification is met.

What’s essential:

  • Must have carried out an apprenticeship, or level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechanical fitting experience
  • Close attention to detail
