A leading global Defence, Security and Aerospace Company has an exciting new role for a Wargame Designer. They are seeking a keen gamer who can design Wargames for kinetic military operations and conflict scenarios in terms of analysis, understanding the interplay of rule set, scenario, adjudication and participant behaviour and can articulate the view of future best practices in wargaming. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and thrive in a dynamic environment. Focused, methodical yet creative; a systems thinker able to challenge and support a view. Familiarity with Defence and academic research will be well-regarded.

Key Wargaming skills desired:

  • Expertise in designing manual wargames, including rule set creation and scenario development.
  • Ability to facilitate games and adjudicate outcomes based on rule sets.
  • Strong qualitative analytical skills to interpret game outcomes and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with or knowledge of defence strategies, military tactics, and historical conflicts.
  • Creativity in game design and development to address complex customer requirements.
  • Understanding of kinetic military operations and conflict scenarios.
