Carbon Credit Structuring & Transactions Advisor

FG Capital Advisors is expanding its advisory services in voluntary carbon markets, working with corporations on carbon project development, certification, and credit transactions. We primarily operate as a carbon market advisory firm, facilitating the execution of projects on behalf of our clients.

To meet growing demand, we are seeking an experienced Carbon Markets Advisor (Mandate-Based, USA) to provide expert support in project execution, regulatory compliance, financing, and credit sales. This is a mandate-based engagement, meaning compensation is tied to successful project approvals rather than a full-time position.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee carbon project development, validation, and verification under standards such as Verra, Gold Standard, and ACR.
2. Structure and execute carbon credit transactions, including ERPA agreements, corporate offsets, and market sales.
3. Provide strategic advisory on carbon pricing, regulatory compliance, and investment structuring.
4. Develop financial models for carbon credit-backed financing and impact investment strategies.
5. Engage with buyers, investors, and certification bodies to facilitate project execution.
6. Advise clients on risk mitigation, credit issuance strategies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in voluntary carbon markets.
2. Proven track record in executing at least three large-scale carbon projects or transactions.
3. Strong understanding of carbon credit certification, structuring, and compliance.
4. Extensive network in the carbon markets, with buyers, investors, or project developers.
5. Ability to provide references and supporting documentation of past work.
