Join Our Team as a Site Agent at Dyer & Butler! We're looking for Site Agents to join our Southern CP7 Framework Team, with opportunities available in London, the South East, and the South West.
About the Role: As a Site Agent, you'll be overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll work closely with the rest of the team, including Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors, to meet our client's expectations and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental protection.
What You'll Do:
- Manage on-site works, keeping them on track with commercial goals.
- Ensure all work complies with specifications and standards.
- Assist Project Managers with documentation, risk assessments, and SHEQ plans.
- Lead daily briefings and keep everyone informed.
- Oversee and coordinate teams, including subcontractors.
- Keep track of project budgets and costs.
- Support your team by ensuring they have the resources and tools they need.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to avoid delays.
- Ensure all inspections and tests are completed correctly.
- Manage procurement schedules and material orders.
- Work closely with the team to ensure resources are well-managed.
- Maintain a safe work environment with regular safety checks.
- Take charge of temporary works and excavation safety on-site.
What We're Looking For:
- A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience working on civil engineering projects.
- Strong communication skills for working with clients, third parties, and the site team.
- A recognized site safety management course and a CSCS Managers card.
- Knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, and Design Management.
- Experience managing budgets, costs, and risk.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental protection.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge designs where necessary.
