Are you passionate about the food and drink industry and excited to use your insights to drive innovation and growth? Do you excel in a collaborative environment where communication is key? Are you skilled at transforming insights into compelling stories that drive actionable recommendations? The foundations of this role will be to use data to create actionable insight that inspires and tells a story. Working on a mix of projects, harnessing interesting data from multiple sources and overlaying this with expert industry knowledge.

The insight team are responsible for all our project outputs, for both our core syndicated products and consultancy projects, delivered to our client base of FMCG suppliers, retailers, operators, and associations. Our vision is to be ‘one of the team experts delivering business critical data and customised and predictive insight’.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Representing the insight team at internal events and being an ambassador for the Lumina brand and our insights externally.
  • Managing and overseeing client or syndicated projects from proposal stage, through to client management and delivery.
  • Ensuring high standards are met and projects are delivered on time, managing both internal and external expectations.
  • Being accountable for creating insight with quality interpretation of data and research.
  • Extracting compelling and actionable recommendations from data, making use of storytelling principles and expert data visualisation.
  • Research and explore the food and drink market and trends.
  • Planning and executing Food Safari’s around London to showcase best in class restaurants, bars and concepts.
  • Ensure requests are delivered with quality, accuracy and to the deadline.
  • Working alongside the client sales team to ensure content delivery is consistent across the business, from insight creation to end delivery, staying close to client feedback and changing demands.
  • Work alongside the marketing content and digital marketing team to support the communication of our insight to enhance the credibility of the Lumina brand and deliver against key commercial targets.
  • Working alongside the Research and Data team to shape research programs and generate quality objectives that fulfil the brief.
  • Attending events on an ad hoc basis to present our quarterly updates at our Food and Convenience Strategy Forums alongside your team.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in the Food and Drink industry, e.g. Grocery, Retail or Convenience markets.
  • Proven results in a similar insight role either agency side, e.g. FMCG manufacturer, retailer, or foodservice operator background.
  • Confident in explaining and presenting data and insight.
  • A solid understanding of research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with the ability to influence and create a positive culture for team members.
  • Passion for food and drink.
  • Data literacy and be comfortable using data visualisation and analysis platform.
  • Excellent data visualisation and an eye for design.
  • Advanced analytics and statistics experience is desirable but not essential.
