About the Firm: Our client is a London based Law firm. This firm has grown significantly, and now they have over 140 lawyers who assist clients with various legal matters. They work on transactions such as buying and selling companies, financial issues, and legal disputes in court. About the Team: You will be part of a team dedicated to supporting all employees at the firm. The team includes the Head of HR, other HR Advisors, and personnel responsible for recruitment. You will collaborate closely with another HR Advisor to ensure that all staff in the London office receive the HR support they require. You will manage specific employee groups and engage in projects that benefit the entire office.
What You’ll Do:
- Be a Helper: Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding HR inquiries.
- Solve Problems: Assist in managing employee-related issues with support from the Head of HR.
- Keep Things Running: Support daily HR operations.
- Help with Reviews: Assist in the annual review process for staff.
- Welcome New People: Conduct interviews for new hires and departures.
- Help with Life Events: Manage maternity and paternity leave processes.
- Check In: Facilitate the probation process for new employees.
- Manage Time Off: Track employee leave and create leave plans.
- Help with Hiring: Support the recruitment of new lawyers and staff.
- Work on Projects: Participate in various HR projects.
- Use HR Systems: Assist in the utilization of the firm’s HR system.
- Update Rules: Help maintain up-to-date HR policies.
- Help with Diversity: Contribute to the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Other Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required by the role.
What You Need:
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, ideally from experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to provide guidance.
