We are looking to appoint an Installation Engineer, with a mechanical engineering bias, in the London area! Anywhere inside the M25 or just North would suit.
You will be responsible for field-based installation and repair of new and existing equipment at sites around England.
We need a mechanically trained engineer to work closely with other members of the team (electrical and UPS engineers) where you will ensure efficient installation and maintenance of existing, new and replacement equipment, ensuring work is conducted safely, organised and professionally.
It is important that you are happy with travel, expecting to put 20,000 to 30,000 miles on your company van, and are happy with some overnight stays and after-hours work (afternoon/evenings).
Full training, tools and a van will be provided. They offer door-to-door pay so overtime quickly adds up and is paid at enhanced rates.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site installation and servicing of equipment, supported by maintenance contracts
- Conduct routine service work on all installed equipment (often working unsupervised)
- Carry out commissioning and repair on all types of installed system
Your Skills and Abilities:
- Possess a good understanding of installing new mechanical equipment
- Mechanical engineering qualification
- Hold a full driving license (preferably clean)
- Adopt a flexible approach with the desire to learn and take on new skills
- Willing to travel on a regular basis
