The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

This team forms part of the IT Plan & Architecture function within CIO. You'll be accountable for setting the technology strategic direction, crafting transition roadmaps, End State Architecture, and associated governance.

You'll ensure that the business and technology are in alignment by linking the business Mission, Vision, and Major Goals to its technology architecture. Be accountable for providing technology direction, influencing business partners, wider technology teams, and other external partners to achieve the ESA for their area. This requires a clear financial understanding of the contract terms & conditions to ensure transparency on the transformation investment required to optimise the long-term viability of the digital & IT (Specific Architecture Domain) estate, innovating and optimising delivery plans to realise VMO2 business objectives.

You will be an outstanding communicator influencing and handling across the business to underpin the technologies, software development approaches, and assurance across all IT aspects of the ESA, demonstrating technology leadership, championing agile delivery methodologies, and being seen as a trusted partner for VMo2 and Key Customers at all levels. Applies innovative expertise to solving outstanding and sophisticated problems aligning closely the Digital and Core-IT capabilities.

The must haves

  • Experience with applying validated Architecture methodologies (TOGAF certified)
  • Level of partner communications & engagement influencing VMO2 & Business collaborators
  • Deep understanding of at least 3 Digital IT technology domains and all other domains and business associated context
  • Demonstrate driving the evolution of maturity of EA capability, maintaining a good understanding of assigned capability areas.
  • Financial awareness, budgeting managing and driving down TCO
  • Proven record of virtual Team leadership skills

The other stuff we are looking for

  • Recognised authority within the organisation - in-depth technical knowledge for architectural domain, delivery methodologies, project management and influencing skills, and will also represent VMO2 externally.
  • Accountable for identifying and handling relevant collaborators and external partners as a virtual team, working with them proactively.
  • Drive architectural change based on finding opportunities to improve, simplify & reduce the cost of ownership in collaboration with other collaborators.
  • Working with the Domain owners & IT Architects to ensure the end state architecture is maintained and all change is clearly delivering towards target.
