Are you an experienced Building Control Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to lead and oversee major projects, provide expert guidance, and ensure compliance with building regulations.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support a team of Building Control Surveyors, allocating work and overseeing decisions.
- Manage major projects, including large commercial and industrial developments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including fire engineering design solutions.
- Represent the council in legal matters related to enforcement and public safety.
- Promote Local Authority Building Control and develop partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Be on call for emergency dangerous structure incidents.
What You’ll Need:
- Significant post-qualification experience in Building Control.
- Full membership (or working towards) of RICS, MCABE, or equivalent.
- Competency Class 2 qualification (or working towards Class 2f).
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, enforcement, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
