This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources for two luxury retail brands which includes developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives, attracting, developing, engaging and retaining talent, overseeing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
Primary responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and implement Human Resources strategies, objectives and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the business leads to ensure Human Resources practices are met, including but not limited to staffing levels, effective selections, retention, and team engagement.
- Lead the hands-on recruitment within the region to ensure ongoing human resources availability, both quantity and quality.
- Develop and implement training programmes.
- Coach and consult with business leads in the UK on talent and succession management to ensure employee performance, engagement and accountability.
- Oversee employee relations & engagement, including but not limited to performance appraisals, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling and engagement initiatives.
- Manage HR policies and procedures consistent with corporate objectives and UK labour laws.
- Make continuous proposals to Global Head of HR for optimizing utility of resources.
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management.
- Strong knowledge in HR practices, policies & procedures, labour law and regulations in the UK.
- Demonstrated good management skills including project management skill as well as good customer-oriented sense.
- Good listening & interpersonal skills and ability to work with parties from different levels and cultural backgrounds, and care for details.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks under tight schedule in a matrix organization and in cross-functional business teams.
- Strong problem identifying and solving skill as well as good sense of urgency.
- Experience in luxury or retail is desirable.
