We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner at Xsolla. You will be responsible for driving the development, enhancement, and delivery of scalable solutions to optimize game sales for our partners. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen with business expertise, ensuring the product’s success in a fast-paced, international environment and should be someone who is well versed in game peculiarities of the markets of various regions (USA, Asia, EU). Solid experience in successfully launching and managing sales of digital products on gaming platforms, deep understanding of game monetization mechanisms and in-game goods and having professional contacts in the industry and understanding of its ecosystem as well as having worked in a game producing capacity will be key to your success in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify the needs of new users and work with current users of the product.
  • Continuously monitor trends and changes in the gaming market, responding in a timely manner and adjusting sales strategies for the solution accordingly.
  • Gather insights about customer segment expectations through market research and feedback from partners.
  • Educate internal Business Development and Account Management teams on the Game Sales solution.
  • Align on strategy and tactics with customer segment expectations.
  • Provide guidance to the teams in aligning their decisions with customer expectations.
  • Track the development of the market and offer options for product development.
  • Form and maintain a product development roadmap.
  • Keep up to date and prioritize tasks in the product backlog.
  • Communicate the product development strategy to the team.
  • Be part of a product development team and participate in building a product culture.
  • Identify and minimize product development risks, discuss risks with the team and Stakeholders.
  • Initialize and directly participate in interviews with the target audience.
  • Work on product metrics improvement.
  • Data-driven / experiment-driven backlog management experience.

Team Management:

  • Create a team from scratch (onboarding, retaining).
  • Support the professional growth of employees through the accumulation of knowledge and experience.
  • Work with the strengths and weaknesses of team members.
  • Build a culture of collective responsibility for commitment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager / Game Producer 5+ years.
  • 5+ years experience in the video game development industry.
  • Excellent understanding of the management and approach to monetization in F2P and B2P games.
  • Deep understanding of PC publishing (F2P/B2P games) and passionate about the video game industry.
  • Experience with digital distribution platforms such as Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and others, including setting up and managing sales on these platforms.
  • Knowledge of various marketing approaches and distribution channels to attract and retain users.
  • Experience of interaction with Business Development specialists.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the processes of selling digital products and in-game goods.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to work with data and make decisions based on it.
  • Product presale experience.
  • Pitching experience.
  • Significant experience in developing financial models.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience with product marketing.
  • Leadership and ability to lead a team.
  • Upper-intermediate level of English or higher.
  • Understand and apply agile product management methodologies like Scrum and Agile.
  • Ability to work and be flexible in a fast pace environment.

  • You are well versed in the game peculiarities of the markets of various regions (USA, Asia, Europe).
  • Experience in successfully launching and managing sales of digital products on gaming platforms.

  • Worked in Game Producer position.
  • Experience in E-commerce.
