About the role

Our Commercial team at Cityscape Digital plays a key role in developing client relationships, overseeing projects, and driving business growth. The Commercial Assistant will work closely with the Account Executive and Head of Commercial, supporting business development efforts, responding to client inquiries, and assisting in the preparation of proposals, proof of concepts, and large pitches.

This role is hands-on and client-facing, requiring someone who is not just focused on identifying new clients and opportunities but also on refining Cityscape’s proposition and improving our internal commercial processes. A key part of the role will involve outreach, engaging with potential clients, establishing new relationships, and creatively driving engagement through personalised communication.

The ideal candidate is both commercially minded and creatively driven, someone who can think strategically about business opportunities while also using innovative approaches to connect with clients, tell Cityscape’s story, and demonstrate the value of our services.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday)
  • Hybrid Working:Monday & Tuesday – Optional WFH
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – In-Office
  • Office Location: London Bridge
  • Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (Dependent on Experience)
  • Notice Period: 1 month

  • Be mathematically literate, making sure quotes and proposals align accurately with budgets.
  • Be creative in their approach to outreach and engagement, understanding how to position Cityscape’s services to different audiences.
  • Be comfortable with Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Slides) to track, manage, and present information.
  • Contribute to shaping and refining Cityscape’s proposition, ensuring our services remain competitive and aligned with client needs.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Head of Commercial, summarising business development activities, financial performance, and forecasts.

Roles and Responsibilities

Business Development & Outreach

  • Conduct outreach to potential clients, introducing Cityscape’s services and engaging in discussions to drive new business.
  • Develop personalised and strategic approaches to outreach, ensuring messaging is tailored to each potential client.
  • Assist in managing client relationships, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and proof of concepts for potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial and Account Executive to track opportunities and manage client engagement.
  • Attend client meetings and networking events, with opportunities to present to clients.

Strategic & Internal Improvement

  • Help define and refine Cityscape’s commercial proposition, ensuring our services remain competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal commercial processes to enhance efficiency and client engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop new ideas for growth, positioning, and innovation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on improving client engagement, pricing structures, and service offerings.

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Support the Commercial team in tracking project timelines, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Assist in organising and leading meetings, ensuring all required information is captured and acted upon.
  • Work across multiple projects, helping to manage workflow and priorities in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of client interactions and business development activities.

Financial & Reporting Support

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budget tracking, and commercial forecasts.
  • Support the invoicing process and tracking of project budgets.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Head of Commercial, summarising key activities, financial performance, and revenue forecasts.
  • Maintain internal records and documentation for client accounts.

Expected Experience & Skills

Experience (preferred)

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a commercial, business development, sales, or client-facing role (real estate, digital, or creative industries preferred).
  • Experience working independently, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Exposure to outreach, preparing proposals, RFP responses, or client presentations.
