C R Encapsulation Limited, 'CRE Marine', delivers underwater connectivity, designs and manufactures a range of all-metal shell connectors, fibre optic products, strain terminations, penetrators and junction boxes for extremely heavy duty use and are trusted in the most rigorous underwater applications on the planet from splash zone to full ocean depth.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing first stage management accounts.
  • Preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a monthly basis, identifying and actioning any reconciling items and preparing in format for upload to parent company sharepoint site.
  • Monitoring of P&L and Balance Sheet Monthly actuals v budget.
  • Complete all month end activities by the end of Work Day 3 - Bank and Cash, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Work in Progress, Stock, Fixed Assets and P&L accounts.
  • Ensure a proactive approach and that finance are seen as integrated with operations; providing daily support and not just reporting on historical performance of the business.
  • Preparing BACS payment run (typically one per month, specific suppliers weekly).
  • Using the system to update cash flow module and assisting in credit control function.
  • Reconciling all ledgers at month end including inventory reconciliation (Nominal Ledger v valuation reports).
  • Preparing and submitting VAT, Intrastat and any governmental surveys.
  • Liaising with all utility companies and submitting readings where applicable.
  • Providing manufacturing with daily reports and other specified reports.
  • Providing Purchasing with required reports such as Stock Shortage report, Procurement Analysis Report, supply only shortage stock items report, and Non-ROP report as per the specified timelines.
  • Provide Sales Department with sales, quotes, and orders analysis report, sales dashboard, and new clients per month.
  • Set up new, approved customers and vendors in Sage and maintain this master data, updating for any changes in details.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts updating recognised differences in a timely manner.
  • Undertake and manage credit control function by providing a fortnightly aged debtors report and chasing customers with aged balances.
  • Close completed work orders in the work order sub ledger during the month with specific focus on this on the last day of the month.
  • Updated exchange rates in Sage and revalue the cash book, sales and purchase ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and calculate volume rebates for specific customers on a monthly basis.
  • Actively participate in internal and external audits.
  • Daily Reporting of Sales Orders, Billing, Expected Costs and Backlog for CRE and Parent Company via internal sharepoint site.
  • Weekly KPI Report of Sales Orders, Billing and Quotes, including production hours worked on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly sales proforma invoice value and reconciliation reports for management.
  • Prepare the monthly cash position report for management.
  • Weekly reporting of cash balances and provision of cash transaction detail to parent company.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Obtain a working knowledge of other office functions and recommend and implement changes which will improve the process.
  • Undertaking any other duties which are assigned to you by the Finance Director.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail under pressure (speed and accuracy).
  • Ability to prioritise workload to tie in with the requirements of the business.
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
  • Good investigative skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills - report writing.
  • Experienced with ERP systems (preferably Sage) and proficient to a high level with Excel.
