As Reinsurance competency at Sollers we are serving increasingly demanding clients and distribution partners, many insurance companies are still behind in terms of the speed and quality of their digital services. They are facing lack of centralised source of information and process flows in their reinsurance department, while depending on legacy solutions including Excel spreadsheets, which creates bottlenecks within increasingly complex processes and makes it more difficult to ensure data quality. Our Reinsurance Competence equips clients in solutions and tools optimizing decision-making processes, minimizing claims leakage, ensuring accurate reporting, and servicing of reinsurance programs.
About the role. You will:
• Be responsible for market success of the reinsurance competency initiatives.
• Define the core positioning and messaging for reinsurance solutions.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities with both new and existing customers.
• Work with external third parties to evaluate potential partnerships and licensing opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor for IT projects within financial institutions.
• Participate in the full agile development lifecycle, working closely with international clients.
• Collaborate with other internal competences to create cohesive and shared sales pipelines.
• Work directly with clients as an active member of an agile project team.
About the requirements. You need:
• Hands-on experience with selling software solutions and implementation services to large organizations.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Development Manager or other role responsible for sales results in IT for the insurance industry.
• Very good understanding of insurance industry and core insurance processes.
• Experience in IT platform implementation and understanding IT project management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with C and B-1 level especially in the areas of Finance, Underwriting, Risk Management and Operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a Product Team and independently.
• A proactive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English (C1 level or higher).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with team management experience.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
• Eligibility to work in the European Union.
About the wishes. Nice to haves:
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience mentoring team members and fostering professional growth.
• Knowledge of reinsurance processes in large insurance and/or reinsurance companies.
• Hands-on team management experience and a sense of responsibility for results.
• Fluency in French or German.
• Good understanding of UK, DACH insurance market and existing relations with insurance companies’ management.
• Experience working in consulting, implementation, or IT firms, particularly in the insurance sectors.
• Serve as a knowledge authority in reinsurance, providing expertise and insights.
