Engineering Design Lead required for driving technical execution from R&D to commercial deployment in the clean energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Seamless integration from R&D to commercial deployment.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers across all disciplines including commissioning, process, electrical and mechanical engineers.
  • Oversee technical design, process engineering, and system integration, ensuring all projects meet performance, cost, and scalability targets.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, product, and operations teams to translate innovation into deployable solutions.
  • Support pilot plant and full-scale deployment efforts, ensuring smooth handover from design to implementation.
  • Manage engineering budgets and resources, balancing short-term project delivery with long-term growth needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in engineering management.
  • Strong expertise in process engineering, mechanical systems, electrochemistry, or industrial technology development.
  • Hands-on experience in scaling hardware products from concept to commercial deployment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, working with internal teams, suppliers, and external technical partners.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience in a high-growth start-up environment.
  • Background in large-scale hardware or process engineering projects.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary, international engineering teams.
