In our dedicated Healthcare Practice, we help our clients bring products, services, and propositions to life. We turn complex concepts into simple and compelling messages across a variety of therapy areas including rare diseases, oncology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular disease. As you would expect, we are strong on the science, but we bring a creative flair and strategic thinking to medical communications, working closely with our integrated Digital, Insights, and Creative teams to ultimately drive positive change in healthcare. The role involves:

  • Developing high-quality scientific materials for a variety of audiences, therapy areas, and purposes.
  • Leading projects from a scientific standpoint and collaborating with our Creative and Digital teams to communicate complex concepts in engaging ways.
  • Critically appraising medical research and ensuring scientific accuracy in our work.
  • Building relationships with clients and healthcare professionals to be viewed as a strategic partner and communications expert.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior writers as you develop in your career, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Opportunities to contribute to strategic planning and new business development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Strong scientific background, educated to a minimum degree level in life sciences (MSc/PhD advantageous).
  • At least 4 years' experience in Medical Communications.
  • Broad knowledge of therapy areas.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive solutions-focused attitude.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Location: Our team meets regularly at our Central London office, so the ideal candidate would be open to joining us in person at least 2 days a week. Madano offers flexible start/end times around core working hours, and working from home is certainly an option.
