The Client
Our client is a market-leading national provider of emergency and planned drainage and plumbing services through a franchised network of over 30 branches, and part of a wider premium services group who provide a values-guided world-leader of franchise brands focused on repairing, maintaining and enhancing customers’ homes and businesses.
The Role
They currently have a permanent requirement for a Drainage Engineer in the Hampshire & Dorset region responsible for attending domestic and commercial sites and investigating wastewater works, instigating and resolving issues for our customers, along with making appropriate recommendations.
- Unblocking drains using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ)
- Diagnosing and resolving drainage faults, minor excavations and patch lining
- Advising customers and quoting on-site in a clear, trustworthy manner
- Using CCTV equipment to carry out surveys
- Working within a tight-knit team to deliver excellent service
- Following all health & safety procedures and contributing to a culture of safety and responsibility
- Occasional 1 in 4 on-call rota and overtime opportunities
Experience Required
- Experience in a reactive or repair drainage engineer role
- Ability to unblock drains using rods or HPWJ equipment
- A confident communication style, with a real passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Full UK manual driving licence, held for 2+ years, with no more than 6 points
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Comfortable working alone and outdoors, with a customer-first attitude
- High-pressure water jetting certificate or experience
- Experience in patch lining or minor plumbing repairs
The Rewards
The rewards for the successful candidate are excellent. The company is willing to pay a competitive starting salary of £30,000 plus a fully equipped and expensed company vehicle, enhanced overtime rates, commission structure and strong benefits package. The OTE for year one is £40,000 - £45,000. In addition, they also offer a competitive pension, generous holiday allowance and career development and training opportunities for their employees.
