But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved.

Red Bull Powertrains are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team, driving the future of motorsport innovation. You will be based at our state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes which is designed to deliver high-performance Power Units for the 2026 engine regulations. In this role, you will be a critical point of contact and will ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems as well as manage key suppliers to maintain a high level of productivity in the manufacturing process.

The role:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for machine providers, handling breakdowns, servicing, scheduling, on-site spares, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient machine management.
  • Conduct risk and COSHH assessments within the machine shop, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Manage coolants and fluids plus oversee the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and waste disposal to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the movement of machines, raising CAPEX requests for new equipment plus identifying and mitigating single points of failure through scenario planning.
  • Responsible for booking raw materials, verifying and ensuring their availability for production, working closely with production teams to optimise material flow.
