Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical services to customers both onsite and remotely.
- Offer technical support for in-house managed service provider (MSP) clients. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Administrative tasks, including migrations and upgrades for both operating systems and hardware.
- New installations and implementations of operating systems and hardware.
- Support for backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Ad-hoc support for customers.
Secondary role(s) include:
- Assist with pre-sales solutions and architecture design.
- Develop statements of work for projects.
- Facilitate informal skills transfer to customers and colleagues.
Required Skills:
- Over 10 years of experience with IBM Power Systems (P8 and later).
- Extensive expertise in AIX.
- Proficient in HMC and VIOS.
- More than 5 years of experience in storage and SAN technologies.
- Familiarity with IBM, Hitachi, EMC, Pure, and NetApp.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PowerVC, PowerSC, PowerHA, and VMR.
- Proficient in NIM, LVM, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of Linux (RHEL & SUSE) and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Proficient in PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with IBM i.
