We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Partnerships Lead with a passion for sales, apprenticeships, and education to establish and maintain strategic partnerships, secure and maintain a recurring sales pipeline to deliver our ambitions to meet skills needs in the Borough and beyond. The successful candidate will drive our mission to position Croydon College as a Skills Provider of choice in South London. This role involves securing contracts, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful collaboration to achieve our ambitious growth plans. This includes learner find and recruitment services and securing high-quality work placements for students.

Duties:

  • Sales and pipeline planning
  • Commercial partnership and stakeholder relations
  • Line management of Business Engagement Executives
  • Social media content generation
  • Managing the apprenticeship service accounts to ensure vacancies are visible to employers
  • Managing DAS accounts
  • Coordinating internal and external events
  • Establishing lasting employer relationships with the college

Requirements:

  • You will need to know the skills landscape and have a meaningful understanding of the wider socio-economic context of the need to bring employers and learners together.
  • Knowledge of local labour market opportunities and local/national trends is required.
  • Experience in leading a team in a sales and target-driven environment, business development, apprenticeships, employer engagement, or community partner engagement is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences in various settings and situations are necessary.
  • You should be able to work under pressure and prioritize, set, and achieve your own targets without direct supervision.
