Due to promotion within the team, we are looking to recruit for a Pre-Sales Technical Engineer to join our team in Birmingham, working in the New Build Design Team. Are you technically minded? What Will You Be Doing?
Ensure customers receive a high-quality pre-sales technical response to enquiries, providing pre-sales product technical information and advising on proposed design solutions. You will:
- Providing pre-sales technical design solutions that meet and exceed customer specifications and sales’ briefings.
- Providing pre-sales technical information support to customers and colleagues.
- Using design software packages to produce pre-sales technical submissions, as required.
- Generating detailed quotations and technical submissions for the product, achieving optimum performance for customers’ budget (using appropriate discounts from the system).
- Liaising closely with the Sales Team to maximise sales through a collaborative approach to ensure high quality technical propositions.
- To ensure accuracy of information and interaction tracking in CRM and CEC relating to the pre-sales activity.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree; Building Services Qualification HND or Equivalent (NVQ/QCF) in an Engineering Discipline
- Building Services background, or work-related experience in Heating or Applied Engineering within the HVAC Industry
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems, for example, air-to-water heat pumps, water-based (hydronic) systems, heating systems, domestic hot water systems, heat emitters.
- Understanding of thermal physics, for example, thermodynamics, refrigeration cycle, heat storage, heat recovery.
- Renewable market awareness, for example, renewable energy, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, energy storage, system integration, energy management.
