Our client has been at the leading edge of composite core material development for over 50 years and is an absolute market leader in its field, supplying a wide range of markets, including wind energy, marine, aerospace, and industry. As their team continues to grow, we are looking for a Technical Account Manager (Composites) to join the organization at this vital time.

We’re looking for people who are skilled in composites, have strong knowledge in this area, and want to make a move into the technical sales environment. At times this is a semi project management role, working closely with clients through many iterations of a project and liaising with internal engineering. As such, we welcome applicants who have either composites knowledge and a laminating background or an experienced technical client-facing sales background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial and technical management of new and established accounts.
  • Support and advise new customers on the use of the client's materials according to their needs.
  • Work with key accounts to ensure kit designs are fully up to date.
  • With the support of the client's global technical department, provide hands-on technical support and training to customers as necessary.
  • Work proactively with the Kit Departments in the design and development of core kits to meet customer requirements and maintain the functionality of those kits throughout their sales life.
  • Participate in forums within the market sectors in the UK and Europe (observation, analysis, and feedback).
  • Together with the Sales and Managing Director, establish the sales and business development strategy.
  • Use Salesforce CRM as a daily tool for monitoring projects and customers.
  • Work in cooperation with the UK and European Teams to share experiences and possible applications.

This role is for someone who is looking to make a real impact on the organisation. As part of a small core-based UK team, this role is primarily remote, so the ability to plan diaries and run your own schedule is also paramount.
