Our client, an innovative and proactive company based in Aberdeen, is looking for a driven and talented Technical Writer to join their expanding Business Solutions Team.
Overview:
This role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation and training materials for custom software applications, ensuring clarity and ease of use for a wide range of audiences, from end-users to technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user guides, technical manuals, and training materials for custom software applications.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts and developers to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Support business transitions and implement change across the organisation.
- Analyse and improve existing documentation to ensure it’s clear and comprehensive.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the user experience.
- Maintain documentation standards, guidelines, and formats in line with best practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience as a Technical Writer (or equivalent) in a commercial IT environment.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining online documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience with content management systems and knowledge base tools.
