Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are a well-established, highly respected independent manufacturer in the corrugated packaging industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products from sustainable sources. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the everyday operations of our corrugated board manufacturing process.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Liaise with company personnel to ensure seamless production.
- Identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform emergency maintenance as required to minimize downtime.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities.
- Order necessary parts from suppliers and maintain stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during maintenance work.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Calibrate equipment and system components.
- Service and refurbish machinery to extend operational lifespan.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly, including machine diagnostics.
- Inspect machine parts and ensure they meet performance standards.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Operate and use lathes efficiently.
Experience & Education:
- Proven experience working in a demanding production environment.
- Hands-on engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with workshop tools, including lathe operation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in an engineering environment.
