ROLE: New Product Definition Engineer
LOCATION: Cambridge, UK
VISA SPONSORSHIP POSSIBLE

Responsibilities:

1. Actively engage in hands-on design verification testing and characterization of first-sample ICs in the lab.
2. Validate innovative topologies and product ideas using advanced simulation tools and lab prototypes prior to IC design.
3. Design power supplies utilizing our client’s solutions for validation and customer demonstration purposes.
4. Collaborate closely with the IC design team to ensure implementations meet system requirements.
5. Contribute to the development of innovative IC-based system solutions aligned with customer and market demands for SMPS and lighting ballast applications.

Education & Experience:

1. A first or upper second-class degree (BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
2. Suitable for recent graduates or candidates who have completed a PhD.
3. 1–2 years of practical experience is desirable but not essential.

Skills Required:

1. Strong interest in electronics hardware design, particularly in power supply design.
2. Excellent analytical and practical skills.
3. Proficiency in lab work and confident use of lab equipment.
4. Proven ability to create accurate and concise technical documentation, including lab evaluation and simulation reports.
5. Experience with simulation tools is essential.
