First People Solutions is working with one of the UK's top consulting engineers in Edinburgh, who are looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join their team. You'll get to work on projects like energy infrastructure, highways, active travel, and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the feasibility and pre-planning assessments of engineering infrastructure
- Assist in the design of major infrastructure, energy and highway schemes
- Ensure documents, designs and drawings are consistently high in quality and compliance with design standards, industry best practice, contractual obligations and client expectations
- Assist in the communication with clients, regulators and other stakeholders, and preparation of bids and proposals
- Attendance at design meetings
- Work alongside engineering teams and associated consulting engineers
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years post qualification experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
- Good knowledge of infrastructure design at concept, feasibility and construction level
- Knowledge of policy and design standards (e.g. DMRB, MCDHW, SuDS Manual, Sewers for Scotland, etc.)
- Competent in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Full clean drivers licence
