Role Overview

As a CASS Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring CASS compliance with UK regulatory requirements by performing daily internal and external client money reconciliations and overseeing CASS-related projects and monitoring activities. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and review daily internal and external client money reconciliations within agreed deadlines.
  • Challenge and enhance internal and external processes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Confidently generate daily Client Money reports using automated platforms, ensuring all outstanding items are monitored and escalated efficiently.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in overseeing day-to-day CASS, safeguarding controls and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the annual CASS audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Responsible for preparing and timely submitting the monthly FCA CMAR return and other regulatory financial returns.
  • Liaise with finance and assist compliance in monitoring tasks.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or reconciliation role.
  • Strong knowledge of CASS7 regulatory requirements.
  • Some experience in client money reconciliations within financial services, investment, or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory regimes governing client money, such as UK CASS rules.
  • Prior experience working with external auditors and managing audit delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to handle data from multiple sources and generate accurate reports.
  • Ability to analyse, present, and report complex regulatory information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Past experience of working for financial services, Forex and CFDs business.
