Youth Options delivers a range of Outdoor Learning and Forest School activities to support, develop, and engage children and young people to develop their social and emotional capabilities and wellbeing and improve their engagement with learning. As an Outdoor Learning Leader, you will work as part of a team and individually to support, develop, and engage children and young people to realise their abilities, aspirations, and make a valuable contribution to their communities through Outdoor Learning. You will be working across a number of projects which support young people in a variety of settings including Outdoor Learning Centres in New Forest, Southampton, Eastleigh, and school sites.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead the development and implementation of varied outdoor learning programmes and activities to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- Engage young people in a process of personal and social development through parent and child groups, school visits, 1:1 support, and community groups.
- Support the development and implementation of a fully diverse holiday programme that meets the needs of the children and young people involved.
- Manage groups of children and young people, and be responsible for their care whilst they are participating in outdoor learning programmes.
