A leading company specialising in supplying fresh salads to major retailers and foodservice clients (including Tesco, Pret, McDonald's, and more) is seeking a Category Insights Manager to join their team on a 5-month contract. This role offers the chance to work with high-profile accounts, providing strategic insights to optimise category performance and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Insights: Serve as the expert for category advice, analysing performance data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage account data to evaluate performance and make actionable recommendations around product placement, seasonal trends, and external factors like weather impact.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to optimise category performance, drive sales, and ensure mutual growth.
  • Category Optimisation: Provide data-driven recommendations to improve category strategies, including evaluating and adjusting for seasonal and external factors.

Requirements:

  • Senior-Level Experience: Proven experience in category management, ideally within FMCG.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to extract insights from account data (no need for SQL or Python).
  • Excellent Communication: Strong stakeholder management and the ability to offer strategic advice across teams and clients.
  • Collaborative Approach: A humble and team-oriented approach to working with both internal teams and external clients.
