Responsibilities:

  • Handling accounting for the Group retail stores.
  • Ensuring that all cash reconciliations are carried out and assisting the preparation of the company monthly and annual accounts.
  • To be a point of contact for retail stores on finance related queries.

Profile:

  • Preparation and posting & processing of month end journals as agreed with your manager.
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts with SAP.
  • Reviewing and confirming retail stores petty cash spends and reimbursements.
  • Reconciling store takings figures from till software against cash and card receipts on a weekly basis and rectify any discrepancies within the month.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, primarily related to retail transactions but also maintaining balance sheet reconciliations across the business.
  • Assist with intercompany transaction processing.
  • Process retail payroll journal and reconcile the relevant clearing balance sheet accounts.
  • To order PDQ machines and any other necessary equipment and assist with setup of new retail stores, events and pop-up locations.
  • To maintain PCI compliance.
  • As part of a team, respond to all queries raised by the stores in a timely manner, ensuring smooth retail functionality.
  • To assist with the preparation of the year-end audit file, year-end account close and auditor requests.
  • To check corrections/adjustments that are required for month end reporting.
  • Any other ad hoc projects as requested by line manager and CFO, including but not limited to assisting with system changes, working with other finance team members to deliver continuous improvement, and business partnering with brand teams to improve quality of information provided to finance and the service centre.

Other:

  • Any other work as required by the Head of Finance or CFO.

Professional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
  • Experience in a Financial Accounting role would be desirable.
  • Must have experience with SAP or similar large ERP.
  • Computer literate with excellent Excel skills.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Common sense.
  • Team player, yet a self-starter, always proactive.
  • ‘Hands-on’ approach to the role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage priorities aligning with business needs.
