We’re looking for a Publishing Royalties Operations Specialist to join our Royalty Data Analytics and Reporting team, based in either our Berlin or London office. You will be part of a team that is responsible for SoundCloud's financial reporting (internal and external stakeholders), assisting in informing the strategic vision of our licensing through operational support and various economic analysis while facilitating day-to-day operations and leading improvements projects across multiple regions.
The team’s remit has grown and includes but is not limited to managing the company's Content Cost economics, rights administration of deal terms, royalty reporting, commercial charting and utilizing the team’s various financial & marketing data points to leverage SoundCloud’s strategic initiatives through concise business intelligence analysis & driven decision making. To strengthen the firepower of this highly cross functional team, we are looking for an additional pair of hands to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement to existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities- Support the Music Licensing team with data analysis for reviews and negotiations.
- Maintain and enhance Looker visualizations for accurate, real-time insights.
- Manage claims workflow, including file ingestion, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure external reporting meets technical and contractual requirements.
- Handle ad-hoc publishing royalty queries from stakeholders.
- Drive workflow improvements for publishing projects across multiple regions and data sources.
- Analyze royalty data to generate actionable insights.
- Update business process documentation.
- Maintain Contracts Management System with key financial terms.
- Work with Royalties Engineering to optimize tech solutions for operations.
You will work with internal stakeholders, as well as directly with our content partners, including music publishers, and collecting societies, to ensure that we are not only mindful of the company’s critical reporting & financial obligations, but also in building a product that benefits both SoundCloud and the creators we directly support financially.
Experience and Background- At least 4-5 years experience working in an analytical or reporting-related role in the music industry, preferably in Music Publishing.
- At least 4-5 years experience working with SQL and Looker/LookerStudio. Google BigQuery and Dataform is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, and experience working with large data sets ie Connected Sheets, Regex, Pivots, reconciliation and consolidation.
- Knowledge of DDEX Standards specifically DSRs and CCIDs.
- Superior planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills & interpersonal/team skills.
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail, ready to solve complex cross-functional problems.
