The Agency is a prestigious, thriving PR agency of 40 people, working on campaigns for some iconic brands. The team has been nominated for a whole host of awards over the years. The team prides itself on being brave & pushing boundaries, going above and beyond to deliver great results, whilst working with integrity. There is super-flexibility in this role regarding working from home; the B2B team try to get together in the office once a week on a Tuesday (the office is open 24/7 should people prefer to be in). The agency is based in Central London, but the flexible working pattern means this role could appeal to those further afield as they only need to travel in once a week.

The team is now on the hunt for an established Account Director who can help support the agency's on-trade accounts within the drinks sector. Specific experience and interest in working on-trade accounts within food and drink or FMCG sector is critical, as is familiarity with B2B. The team are open to meeting Senior Account Directors too. The Account Director plays an integral role in the team by providing leadership across key accounts, inspiring the highest standards whilst strengthening the agency's longer-term relationship with key stakeholders. In addition to adopting overall management of key accounts, the Account Director is responsible for the line management of other members of the client-facing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating & maintaining senior client relationships, providing day-to-day consultancy
  • Actively seek opportunities to unlock organic client growth
  • Develop proposals and deliver pitches for new briefs acting as a strong strategic lead
  • Challenging conventional thinking and traditional trade PR tactics to ensure that the team is coming up with proactive ideas outside of the existing campaign
  • Leading and driving strategy development, planning and budget setting processes and evaluation on all accounts
  • Owning and managing profitability and performance across designated accounts, in line with campaign KPIs and financial targets
  • Leading, motivating & developing team members – to motivate and inspire your team
  • Coaching and mentoring them to help them excel individually and as a team

Experience and Traits:

  • Strong experience working agency side with clients within the on-trade sector in the B2B space
  • Highly creative and comfortable developing campaigns and delivering measurable results
  • Solid project management experience, demonstrating a track record of strategic thinking, working in partnership with a number of clients and suppliers
  • Proven success working independently, multi-tasking, prioritising and meeting deadlines consistently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and remaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to read a room and tailor your message and style for the audience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
  • Strong writing, numeracy and analytical skills
