Duration: 6 months

Our Client, an Energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Site Safety and Environmental Inspector. This role is placed within the Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction industry based in Rochester for a 6-month contract Inside IR35.

Role: As a Site Safety and Environmental Inspector, you will investigate HSE incidents, develop root-cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are communicated and completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and surveillance, ensuring work is compliant with the Project Health and Safety Plan, Environmental Management Plan, codes, specifications, drawings, procedures, and contract.
  • Provide guidance on applicable health, safety, and environment legal requirements and standards.
  • Ensure that all required documentation/records are generated and maintained.
  • Ensure that risk assessments and accompanying documentation produced in support of work to be undertaken within the Customer operational site boundary are suitable, sufficient, and compliant with the applicable permit-to-work process, relevant standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Promote occupational and behavioural safety within the project to support management with their accountability for the safety of their activities and gather insight on risks and their reasons.

Experience: You will have previous Site Safety and Environmental Inspector or related Health and Safety experience ideally in the Oil & Gas, Energy, or construction-related industry. Experience in Auditing/Inspection, Incident Management & Investigation, HSE Legislation, and Management System Standards is required. NEBOSH General Certificate / Grad IOSH Status / NVQ 5 / NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is preferred.
