Legal Counsel - Supply Chain

Assala Energy, a dynamic Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company, is seeking consulting services to support its sustainable development initiatives in Gabon. Committed to collaboration, diversity, safety, and integrity, Assala Energy requires expertise to strengthen legal and risk management processes within its supply chain operations in London. The consultant will provide services to: Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice on contractual and supply chain matters. Conduct regular reviews and updates of contractual terms, conditions, and standard agreement templates. Support procurement and contract teams throughout the contracting lifecycle, including tender strategy development, documentation, negotiations, and contract awards. Ensure governance and compliance obligations are met and documented during the procurement process. Promote best practices in legal, compliance, and risk management. These services will contribute to safeguarding the company’s operations and enabling value-driven contractual relationships. Full scope of work with deliverables and objectives will be made available during a technical validation meeting. This is a contract opportunity offered subject to IR35 compliance checks. The ideal consultant should possess the following qualifications and expertise to deliver effective legal advisory services: Qualified legal professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and practical experience in a comparable capacity. International experience within an upstream Oil & Gas operating environment. Demonstrable expertise in offshore/onshore development projects, including experience with FEED, EPC/EPIC/EPICM, and O&M contracts. Familiarity with OHADA law is advantageous. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain contracts, including Drilling and Well Services contracts. Capability to handle both minor and major contractual matters. Strong understanding of key legal and contractual issues relevant to the Oil & Gas sector. Ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural work environment with strong social competence. Proven ability to deliver results within budget and schedule constraints. Strong analytical skills and capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. #J-18808-Ljbffr
