Purpose of the Role: Our client, a leading housing solutions provider, is seeking a Safeguarding Quality Assurance Assessor to ensure safeguarding practices align with internal and customer frameworks. The role involves working with subcontractors, Regional Safeguarding Leaders, and Operations Teams to monitor and enhance safeguarding standards, providing assurance to senior management. The postholder will drive service improvement, embed best practices, foster a positive safeguarding culture, and ensure high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assure safeguarding quality from accommodation sites.
- Manage an allocated safeguarding area for the business.
- Ensure consistent safeguarding service delivery across assigned regions.
- Meet monthly with subcontractors and team leaders to review safeguarding cases and referrals.
- Provide guidance and support on safeguarding matters.
- Raise risks to the regional Safeguarding Leaders to ensure mitigation.
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure the customer’s quality assurance framework is integrated with best practice.
- Keep accurate safeguarding records, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
- Oversee training, reporting, and follow-ups on safeguarding concerns.
Required Skills:
- Qualifications – GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths and Safeguarding Level 2.
- Safeguarding Experience – Experience in safeguarding within local authorities, healthcare, or education, handling complex cases and sensitive information.
- Multi-Agency Work – Skilled in working with multi-agency teams, stakeholders, and partners to improve safeguarding.
- Legislation & Compliance – Strong knowledge of safeguarding laws, policies, and risk assessment.
- Quality Assurance – Experience in auditing, monitoring, and improving safeguarding practices.
- IT Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office, safeguarding databases, and case management systems.
- Communication – Strong written, verbal, and report-writing skills, ability to build positive relationships.
- Organisation – Able to manage meetings, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Problem-Solving – Works well under pressure, handling high workloads and complex situations calmly.
- Professionalism – High integrity, confidentiality, and a positive, proactive approach to safeguarding.
