Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee our Client’s production team. You will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, flexibility, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Efficiency: Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time. Maximise the use of departmental resources (machinery, labour, and materials) to meet productivity targets. Monitor and track employee performance on an hourly basis to ensure company KPIs are achieved. Identify and promptly report any production issues to the Shift Manager.
- Team Leadership & Development: Motivate and support staff by providing regular feedback and recognition. Foster strong working relationships and effective communication between staff and management. Identify and oversee team training needs, ensuring continuous development. Ensure staff adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and COSHH guidelines.
- Quality & Maintenance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Keep accurate records of employee performance, development, and productivity. Notify the engineering team and Shift Manager of any machinery issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
- Health & Safety & Compliance: Enforce the company’s health and safety policy at all times. Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling aids. Comply with company policies, procedures, and terms of employment. Maintain confidentiality regarding company and customer information.
- Other Duties: Carry out any additional tasks as required by management. Attend relevant training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
