Senior QA Test Engineer £55,000

I am recruiting for an experienced Automation Tester / QA Test Engineer to join my client, a small software house based in the centre of Bristol. They are made up of the nicest bunch of people and are  ideally looking for someone who can come into the office twice a week initially, with the flexibility to work much more remotely after the probationary period.   You'll be joining a small but highly skilled QA team, working on a diverse range of products within public health and community wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Playwright and TypeScript experience to take ownership of automation, becoming the company’s go-to expert and advisor on all things test automation. You will work closely with the Test Manager to shape and refine the automation strategy, improve existing tools and processes, and expand the coverage of automated end-to-end testing in place (all currently using Playwright and Typescript)   Beyond leading automation, you’ll play a key role in mentoring and developing both current and future team members, sharing best practices and fostering a strong automation culture. You'll also have the opportunity to explore and integrate cutting-edge AI tools to enhance testing efficiency, while collaborating closely with the product and QA teams to swiftly identify and resolve issues.   Their ideal person will have strong automation experience, particularly with Playwright and TypeScript, and a keen desire to leverage their skills to enhance and streamline test automation processes.
