Job Location: Kilmarnock

Shifts: Mon-Fri Days (Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, 13:30 Friday Finish)

Salary: £41,730 / £20.06 P/H

Hours Per Week: 40

Company Summary:

A leading Rolling Stock Engineering Business offering a comprehensive range of refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector.

Position Summary:

  • Overhaul, maintenance, examination and repair of rail vehicles and rolling stock
  • Stripping and building safety critical components in accordance with technical drawings
  • Fault finding and repair on mechanical components - e.g. bogies, brake actuators, axles etc.
  • Door gear removal, overhaul, refit and test

Person Profile:

  • Experience within an engineering background, ideally within rail/heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Ideally have an NVQ level 3 within engineering
  • Ideally have mechanical modification experience on rail vehicles / rolling stock maintenance experience
