Due to increasing project commissions and appointments, they are seeking to appoint a full-time experienced Senior Structural Engineer Purpose of Job Role The delivery of projects, managing a team of structural Engineers and Technicians on a day to day structural designs and calculations. Key Accountabilities Project Delivery β The delivery of a project in a timely manner and on budget. Collaborating with the Client β Working with the client to develop a full project brief ensuring that they achieve their desired result. Managing Project Accounts β Ensuring that projects are undertaken to the specified budget and timeframes. Managing Project Teams β Ensuring that projects are adequately resourced and the ensuring the time spent is as per the budgeted times Preparing Calculations β Preparing Building Regulations calculations packages for submission to the Local Authority. Specific Tasks β’ The preparation of fee proposals for submission to the client. β’ Ensuring that the project folder is maintained and that all team members are using the system to the current standards. β’ Ensuring that QA standards are maintained within the projects and that all calculations and drawings are checked before issue. β’ Managing the project on Maconomy ensuring that every protect each month has an ETC, Client Invoice, project spend is monitored against project progress. β’ Ensuring time is spend aiding Management with tasks such as CPD for staff, Chartership Development, & Business Development. β’ Developing project briefs and tendering for subcontractors. β’ The carrying out of Structural Surveys and preparation subsequent reports. β’ The preparation of project specifications Person Specification β Essential MEng. Civil or Structural Engineering BEng Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 10 yearsβ experience.) Desirable MIstruct|E /MICE.
